Oct. 8th and 9th-Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, OH) ‘UMP Nationals’ 53 cars in attendance. Qualified 4th fastest in group three with a 16.5. Car was a little tight in qualifying but I made the invert and would start on the pole of the third heat race. The racing surface was in great shape and carried a lot of speed on the cushion but made for some difficult passing. Starting on the pole was idle but I would need a good start and get to the top as quick as possible. When the heat race started I got the jump I needed and carried my momentum to the top where I sailed to a solid heat race win. I then redrew the second place starting position for the feature. The outside front row was perfect as long as I got a could get a good start. When the green flag waved I was able to take the lead going into turn one and pull away from the field. My huge lead came to a quick end on lap two when I slammed into the turn three wall. That was a tough one to shallow and I really could of used a restart button because I was trying way to hard way to earlier. Not the way I wanted to end my season but it comes with a big learning experience. I would like to thank all you for the great support throughout this season! It was bumpy road but we were still able to achieve our fourth straight championship, and that says about JHR. There are a lot of exciting new changes and plans for the future that I will release in the next couple months.
